Carol Curtin, PhD, MSW is the Director of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) and University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) programs at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and is a Research Assistant Professor of Family Medicine & Community Health. Her work is focused on health promotion for youth with IDD where she conducts research on modifiable risk factors of obesity and other health conditions in youth with IDD and develops intervention programs to promote good nutrition and engagement in physical activity. With Dr. Bandini, she is the Co-Director of the MCHB-funded Healthy Weight Research Network for children with autism and developmental disabilities (HWRN), which is funded by the Maternal Child Health Bureau.
