Meme Hieneman is a consultant with Positive Behavior Support Applications and Principal Investigator on a NIH-funded research study evaluating an online parent education and support program combining routine-based PBS and mindfulness practices. She leads the Florida and Home and Community APBS networks. Meme has a Ph.D. in Special Education and is a certified behavior analyst. She has published a variety of articles, chapters, and books on positive behavior support.
Meme has worked with children with autism and behavioral challenges and their families for 30 years. She has worked in residential, school, and community settings, directed a state-wide PBS project helping schools to implement proactive, evidence-based interventions, coordinated the National Research and Training Center on PBS, directed of the Positive Family Intervention Research Project, and established the ABA and autism programs at All Children’s Hospital.
